Holt High School Majorettes- Competitive LIne
Erica Zurek (Jr.) Section Leader, Rong Deng (Jr.), Emily Bossie (So.), Sierra Jean (So.)
The Holt Majorette line has been around almost as long as the marching band has at Holt High School. This year there are three twirlers & the band is at a size of around 200 members. This year the Band is welcoming freshman members along with a few jr. high students (colorguard) to their ensemble! The twirlers perform at every home game, pep assemblies & at the "Grand Ledge Band Exhibition"! They also march in The Lansing "Silver Bells in the City" parade - (earning the title "Best Illuminated Band" award 5 times), Homecoming and Memorial day parades and compete year round. They serve as an example to younger girls in the community, must keep good grades, participate on the HHS Majorette Line, enter in Solo competitions, and have a positive attitude! It is truly an honor to be selected as a twirling member of the HHS Marching Band! During the winter & spring seasons the Holt High School Majorette Line accepts non-band twirlers to their competitive line. Although we are no longer supported by the Holt Band Booster program the Holt School Member Team competes in open, regional, state & national competitions representing Holt Senior High School. Congrats and good luck on your upcoming season!!!
